theresa andersson

Friday night I had the pleasure of listening to Theresa Andersson at the Flying Monkey Theatre!  She's a petite little thing, wearing red jeans, a black and white polka dot top, a vintage chocolate brown and caramel cardigan she purchased that night from Karma Rags, had her hair in pig tails and pranced around stage barefoot.

She's a one-woman show, playing all her own instruments - recording them at the beginning of the song and looping the sounds thru the rest of the song.  She plays violin, guitar, drums, tambourine, a stomp box and I even saw her pull out a child's rainbow xylophone!

She lives in New Orleans, but was born in Sweden.  She is currently on tour around the Southeast.

After the concert, she talked to everyone who came, answering questions and signing autographs, she signed a poster for me!

Her voive is folksy, bluesy, etherial and full of soul. I purchased her latest album, Street Parade, and have been continuously listening to it!

Check out her tour dates and go see her if you get the chance!
